Film Detail

Sad Clown

Sad Clown is a dark comedy that delves into the complexities of loss and the quest for happiness in a world where emotions are concealed by a painted-on face.

I wanted to make a stylized dark comedy set in a Fellini-esque world of Circus performers about how our faces often mask our real feelings.

With the generous backing of over 100 supporters through Kickstarter, Sad Clown successfully went from concept to screen. The film premiered at the Twin Cities Film Festival, receiving the Audience Choice Award in the Short Film Category. Following its debut, it has been showcased at various film festivals across the United States, including a notable screening at the historic Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard and participation in the Cannes Short Film Corner.
