Human Resources

Film Detail

A human resources professional must teach a timid new hire how to perform empathy. As she instructs him through a series of social behaviors, they form an unlikely connection, but can genuine connection happen within artificial circumstances?

I co-wrote and co-produced Human Resources as part of a filmmaking workshop program designed and produced by Karl Gajdusek (Stranger Things) and Lost Forty Studios. The program gives newer filmmakers hands-on production experience and was led by a seasoned, Minnesota-based production team. This program is a presentation of UMFO in partnership with Minnesota North, the IRRRB, and Advance MN.

I really enjoyed the challenge of completing a high quality narrative short film while simultaneously teaching students how to use gear, communicate with actors, and work safely on a professional film set.
